About LSI |
|
Our company was founded in 1995. Locomotive Specialists, Inc. is a small corporation with two primary share holders: Mr. Robert W. Cockream and Mr. Timothy P. McPartlin. Both have worked in the locomotive field prior to beginning this venture with a combined experience totaling over 40 years.
LSI was started to return locomotive service back to the old way of doing business with pride, honesty, and integrity as our standards to accomplish our main objective: customer satisfaction! We are dedicated to providing the best possible custom tailored locomotive maintenance and repair packages for all of our customers no matter how large or small. We have worked very hard to achieve and maintain these goals and look forward to including you into our service family.
Locomotive Specialists, Inc. offers an extensive line of services including: locomotive leasing, locomotive sales, locomotive inspections, consultation, on-site maintenance, training, diesel engine and generator repair/replacement, traction motor replacement, truck assembly overhaul/replacement, roller bearing conversions, air brake equipment repairs/upgrades, both high and low voltage rewiring with electrical equipment upgrades, radio remote control installation, field wheel machining, complete fabrication and welding services, and sand blasting and painting just to name a few. These services can all be performed on-site. LSI also provides a part sales program tailored to your specific locomotive needs ranging from periodic inspection materials (such as filters and brushes) to even obsolete parts sold at reasonable prices.
Although LSI is a small company, our service is never lacking. LSI has first hand working experience and knowledge servicing various locomotives from ALCO, EMD, GE, Baldwin, to even Trackmobile™ and Rail King™ units.
LSI will perform inspections on your locomotive customized to your maintenance requirements ranging from 30, 60, 90, to 180 day inspections. A locomotive inspection report will detail the locomotive status and you will be provided a defect list; these are valuable tools used to track and prevent locomotive failure. The defect list will chart any an all potential problems and suggested repairs. This list will be presented to you and discussed; at which time, together we can chart a course of repair action.
LSI wants to be your one source for all your locomotive power needs from service, parts, to technical assistance. As a service, we can assist your technicians in resolving your motive power concerns over the telephone. |
